Onslow skin update

it's been about 2 months since I switched him to Taste of the Wild Bison and Venison from the Wellness Simple Solutions Fish - (he used to be on TOTW Salmon but started having problems hence the switch to Wellness). For those of you that didn't know - he was having terrible issues with circular spots and his fur scabbing and falling out and he was pretty itchy too.

I am pleased to report that his coat is looking full, shiny and healthy again - he has only one spot on his belly area that I am treating simply with hydrocortizone cream for dogs that I found at the petstore. It's clearing right up - overall no paw chewing or discomfort for him. So pleased he is doing better. I have to keep my eye on his ears they have been a little gunky lately - but other than that he's doing great!

I am pretty sure now that it was the food he was on causing his issues and am just so happy to see him feeling better. =)

I'm glad you found something that works. What kind of problems did he have on TOTW salmon? That's what my guys are on altho we buy the cheaper Costco version, and they are doing great on it, Ollie's tear stains have completely disappeared and their coats are great.

He did great on it at first but seemed to develop an allergy to it. He was chewing on his paws - gunky ears, which I dealt with but then he started snubbing it and not wanting to eat the food. So that's when I switched.

So good to hear he is doing well, at least there is hope for Bella, she is on her third week of Rx, and Hill's allergy food and is now down to one small lump. I have found bathing her 2x a week seems to help as well as the creams.
