Not moving well
Submitted by bhenderson on August 26, 2011 - 3:00pmFiona is 2 1/2 and today could not move for a little while. She had diarrhea day before and when she got up this morning could not move or stand up. Went to vet and they checked for giardia, gave her fluids and medication for intestinal problems. No temp, heart good, excellent check up. She is now home and still not moving around has anyone experienced this?

Snap test?
Did they do a snap test for Lymes disease? I ask because one of my boys, age 3, had difficulty getting up, and this could be a symptom so I asked for the test and he had the Lymes as well as anaplasmosis. Both quickly cured with Doxycycline.

No, but if her condition persists I will. Is lymes disease only associated to ticks which I have not seen any.

great suggestion...i would also check for lyme....
you may not see the tick that bite your dog.....but lamness achy joints are signs of lyme.....but also watch for parvo.....any bloody dirheaa and go right back to the vet....make sure she gets plenty of water...and you should watch her temp nothing over 102.
just keep plenty of fluids going....
