Might be a stupid question but I have only had female dogs before this....Louie was neutered on Tuesday (he is 4 years old) rescued dog. Anyway, he still has his sak dangling in the back, smaller, but still there and there still seems to be something in there....I thought it was all taken off.....does it get smaller? It honestly does not look like he was neutered. When I take him back to get the stitches out I plan on asking the vet, but was just wondering for my own peace of mind now!! Thanks!
As long as the coin purse is empty....
Yes, there will be a flap of skin...aka the coin purse....that will hang down for a while. It is supposed to get "sucked back up" eventually. On one of ours you can hardly tell but our other one who was neutered back in March is still dangling the old coin purse and it has not gotten smaller at all! I would make sure yours doesn't have any fluid or anything in it, if it does I would contact your vet. But otherwise, totally normal....now just cross your fingers it gets sucked up!!
Maybe its Neuticles?

LOL! That would be my guess.
Actually when I got Bo Kitty neutered, his stuff still was there. Now, I know why1
Thanks Katie.
That is very common in male dogs:-)
They remove the testicles, not the whole skin and everything that goes around them:-) it will take a while, and may not go all the way flat, but it SHOULD recede and not be as noticeable. If it is still prominent in a couple months, ask your vet.

sometimes at this age they get
fluid in their sack...it should absorb back....or your vet may need to give a steroid shot...make sure they look when they take out the stiches....you can also hot pack them this helps the flud get out
