Need Food Recommendation

Anyone have any dry food recommendations?  My bully just turned 1 and and he's started to get hives withing 15 minutes of eating his dry food.  He's been eating the same brand of food (Avoderm) that the breeder had him on.

raw food

Is raw food an option?   I just switched mine over and I am amazed by the changes already.   The black wax in her ears and nose wrinkle are gone.   The cracks in the pads of her paws are gone.   She isn't as itchy either.

It wasn't the easiest transition, but the help from people here, (Judy) got me through it!

Well

Avoderm is a good food. Your dog may be allergic to it's protein source.

Natural Balance makes a limited ingredient grain free line that has a single meat protein source for dogs with allergies. I love the fish and potato, but their are so many other options as well, Venison, duck, etc....

I had mine on NB LID fish and for some reason their poop smelled like cat pee. I couldnt stand it. I switched to potato and duck and now no cat pee smell. lol

That's too funny

I haven't noticed any weird smelling poo. I do notice the fishy smell of the kibble, but that just goes to show you that it's all natural and the protein source is human grade.

I've heard dogs do well on the duck. One of my boys I co own is on Venison and he does well on it!!! That's the great thing about Natural Balance, you have so many great protein choices to choose from.
