I have been having issues as well. I returned a bag of Natural Balance Sweet potato and Fish to the store I purchased it from here in Texas. In turn, the store owner contacted NB and told the rep. The rep has called me now 2 times. Natural Balance has the bag I turned in and they are testing it to see if there is an issue. What the rep told me is this:
They have turned the issue over to their nutritionist to make certain there isn't an issue with the ingredients or anything that might otherwise cause this problem. The nutritionist for Natural Balance stated she has concerns with the ingredients of the limited varieties. She believes that without rotating the limited feeds, dogs WILL at some point in time develop allergies to the single source protein or the single source carbohydrate in the feed they are on. She has asked NB to put a statement on each bag of limited ingredient product, telling people who feed those feeds to rotate them out to a different variety on a fairly regular basis so the dogs don't develop allergies to the single protein or carbohydrate source of any one variety.
The rep also told me they may come log on to BDW to check out the others with allergy issues, so be on the look out for a post from them and you can respond with your experience.
I switched Sophia out to the Bison and she is doing awesome. Now that I know, I will change her out every few months or m,maybe every 6 months to avoid this issue in the future.
