I can't imagine that the surgery or anesthetic could have caused deafness. Keep using the eardrops and see if there is any improvement.
I'm sorry that happened to your baby----was the deafness caused by the surgery? I've never heard of that.
I really don't know much about it, because we only adopted sweet Professor a few months ago, but the most important
thing is to remember to NOT walk up behind him and scare him! I forget MANY times that he can't hear me coming
up to him, and I'll be behind him and go to pet his back or his head and I scare him...poor guy! ...
.....
The GOOD things about him being deaf is that thunderstorms, fireworks, sirens, and other loud noises don't scare
him like they do Meaty and Sophie! We had a VERRRRYYY loud thunderstorm the other night, and poor Meaty and
Sophie were frightened, but Professor was just happy and mellow and slept through the entire thing! :-) I hope
your baby is okay....!!
Our sweet Archimedes "MEATY" Bones (or as we say...boneSHHH!) ---born 11/28/08---- our first bullllyyyy!!!
And SOPHIE Bubbles *Rapscallion* (LOL!) ---born 4/3/11----our second bulllllyyyy!!!!
Was she hard of hearing before the surgery?
