I do not know what could have caused this, but it sounds like he was much loved and taken care of. Perhaps your vet can offer some suggestions of what happened. Please keep us updated.Take comfort in knowing how much you all loved him and happy his life was you. We have a 9 year old babybully and am so dreading the eventuality  of losing him :-(

Please accept my deepest sympathy.  I cannot begin to speculate what might have happened with him but I hope you can get some answers from someone here or possibly your vet's office.

I cannot offer any insight in to what may have caused this incident, but please know I'm thinking of and praying for your sweet boy, you and your family.  I hope your happy memories with him will help provide comfort and ease your pain during this time.

I don't know what could have caused it.  It might be hard to determine if he was generally healthy and this happened so sudden.  Again I'm so sorry, I'll keep you in my prayers.

I am crying and inconsolable for you right now as I live the 2nd day of my life without my best friend... I am so sorry..

i had dolly she was a rescue...loved her to death....i still miss her now.....so anyway i was taking her to the vet,,,we went in for a check up...the vet was saying how good she looked could lose a couple of extra pounds......and she droped dead right their in front of us.....he rushed her back and no luck.....she had a tumor on her spleen that just let go......

so i am sure your guys passing was an undetected tumor.....or blood clot......

so sorry for your loss....its so hard no matter how we lose them...but he knew you were their at the end and i think thats the most imortant part.....

 I spoke with my vet yeasterdayand he seems to think it may have been a seizeure that led to either a stroke, heart attack,or aneurysm.  My bully's name was Rudy!!!  Here is a pic of him... Thanks again guys!

So very sorry, Rudy was beautiful. My 8 1/2 year old bully died unexpectedly as well. We came home and he appeared to be sleeping. Like Rudy, he had no medical issues and the vet also thinks it was something sudden like a stroke, blood clot to the brain or heart attack. It's been over two months and the not knowing for sure what happenned still kills me. I'm glad you were there for Rudy to comfort him as he left this life. Thinking about you and your family...

OMG I can't take the sadness......

It could have been any illness that takes a life suddenly.  Heart attack....stroke.....they have them as well as we do.....
