He has been favoring one of his hind legs and seems to almost limp upon rising. He can jump onto a couch and he will run around with the kids in the yard. Today he is now limping in his rear no more than usual and now the front leg seems to be weak or sore. He was playing pretty hard with the kids. There are signs that he is favoring his left rear leg and now his right left leg. We want to keep him comfortable and see how this (if) this works itself out over hte next few days before rushing him to the vet. Can we give him aspirin to keep him comfortable? He is about 50 lbs now. I am just sick about this. He is my baby and I would take his pain anyday if I could.

I think it is probably just growing pains, he is only 6 months and still growing, alot of times dogs will have limping here and there due to growing.
growing pains
Rocco had growing pains like that..he was limping around pretty bad for a few days and it went away
"Rocco has a spastic wiggle...probally why is nickname is Milkshake"

Look it up....sounds familiar...
I'm sorry I don't know more about it but I wanted to give you info until someone chimes in. Hang in there

Pano or growing pains can be caused by...
food with too high protein. What are you feeding him? He should be getting no more than 24% protein in his food. I would also try to keep him as quiet as possible for a few days or a week until he feels better.
Limping
I agree--could just be growing pains, but in case it is an injury, confine him to leash walks for potty only for a while and no jumping. Good luck!
It does sound like pano or growing pains
What are you feeding him and how much are you feeding him? Does he have big heavy bones?
My boy had pano at 6 months. He had a very slight limp on his right front leg that didn't seem to cause him any pain. I took him to the Vet for xrays and the Vet determined it was indeed pano. I gave him glucosomine/chondroitin supplements daily that contained at least 500 mg of chondroitin. I also gave him 400 mg of calcium daily. He limped for about 3 months.
Thank you for all of your
Thank you for all of your responses. I had no idea about Pano. I have already purchased the adult dog food that most closely matches his puppy food and I will begin the transition to all adult food today. I too bought chicken jerky treats for him with condroiton and glucosamine as well as Greenies with those ingredients. We will have to limit play. The calcium is a new idea. I definitely want to bring him in for x rays. He has a deep dimpleon his back above his tail that we worry is a defect that is causing this too. It is so nice to have this forum to ask and you were all so quick in your responses! Those who love bulldogs are a special breed of people. Thank you!

Be careful with the Greenies...
They can choke on them when they get too small. The best things for bulldog chewing are kongs, real bones (uncooked) and durable nylabones for powerful chewers. Rawhides are also bad, they can swallow big chunks and choke on them. Just my experience.
Also good for chewing are deer antlers if...
you can find them.
The Grateful Shed is where Chumlee gets his antlers

We get the Jumbos
Much cheaper than petstores. Our shop charges $29.99 for one tiny antler.

On the antlers- which kind do you buy deer, elk or caribou?
I was just curious. Is there a lot of difference between the large and jumbo?
Elk and Deer
Yes there is a huge difference between large and jumbo! I had Jeff send me a large with the jumbos just to see the size difference just for my self and the large didn't last two weeks. I still have the jumbos from August in just about the same size and they chew them every night. We don't do the caribou because too much marrow is exposed and that wouldn't last long here with my bigger dogs. They would last with little tiny dogs under 15 lbs I would say.
