My Boy Is Having An Ultrasound Tomorrow

Around a month ago, our 5 year old unneutered bully, Max, was unable to urinate.  I told the wife to rush him to the vet, as I was out of town at the time.  The vet put him on Cephalexin and he said he believed it was a swollen prostrate as the x-rays did not show any signs of kidney stones.  For the next 10 days, Max was in and out of the hospital as he was unable to urinate and had to be cath'ed almost on a daily basis. Finally on his 11th day of taking the antibiotic, he was able to produce his first decent stream of urine.  We were all so happy and relieved.  For the next 10 days or so, he was fine, but he had his Cephalexin prescription extended because I saw a little blood in his urine one day.  Unfortunately, yesterday morning he was unable to urinate again.  He is at the hospital until tomorrow where we are having an ultrasound preformed.  The vet now believes it could be kidney stones, that do not contain calcium, therefore they can not be read by the x-rays.  I am due to go to the doc's office tomorrow around 4:30 to discuss what they found.  Anyone else been through this with their bully?
