Just wondering if feeding raw makes dogs more vicious? I noticed Bear has started to bite me if I try to clean his face or tail pocket when he never used to bite before raw. Just interested in what your thoughts are.

He's just figuring out he's a bear, LOL. I don't think feeding raw has anything to do with his biting, although he probably likes his raw food better then what he was eating before.
How old is he? Is he still a puppy? When is he biting? If he is an adult and he is biting then I would strongly suggest you seek the guidance of a trainer/behaviorist.

If anything, the raw makes her happier and she doesn't burp up a storm and have crazy gas all day long.
I read something recently that talked of what you say...a high protein diet increases aggression...but I just don't believe it. My dog has been on raw since August and she's fine. When cleaning faces and pockets, I will say this: some have spoken of the period where a dog is adjusting to raw and they have a detox period. Perhaps his skin is irritated during this detox process and it is uncomfortable to him on those areas to have them cleaned right now. So perhaps he didn't have a problem with it before because the skin wasn't going through a sensitivity adjustment. I found that when Matilda was mildly irritated in those areas she would try to take the baby wipe away from me. :) She still doesn't like having her feet wiped and anything with a smell to it (vinegar, witch hazel, etc.) is extremely unpleasant to her. She's now quite good about her tail, but the feet...well...do a search and you'll see all my postings about my dog and her feet...lol...

there IS a study about high protein and aggression, if Lynn reads this she will have more exact numbers, but I think it's protein over the 40% range. Audrey absolutely got into more fights with our other dogs when I was training her and using high protein freeze dried beef. Raw food is mostly moisture, the protein is around 20%-25%, depending on the kind of meat.
Maybe it his name .... hahaha

i agree, Deb, must be his name.
I wanted to post that raw feeding does not bring out vicious behavior, but couldn't find the reference.
I know it's frustrating when our babies act out (I still have the scars), but please be assured that raw feeding is not the cause.
Hugs to that Bear of yours!
Audrey did not have any changes
I would say it's not the raw food, but I honestly have no idea what it could be. Is his tail or face sore?
