Milton's waking up

I don't have complete details yet but they got both testicles and he's still a little sleepy but he's waking up from his anesthesia.  :)  Thanks everyone for helping me not worry too much.  They are going to keep him overnight so I'm sure he'll be back to being a holy terror tomorrow.  :) :)

Surgery details, ideas for aftercare experience?

The doctor says Milton's just fine but the surgery was REALLY invasive, they had to lift his bladder out to find the spermatic cord and follow it in order to find the under-developed inner testicle.  So that he'll be sore for a while.

Has anyone gone through this type of neuter who could share any experience as to recover time/aftercare?

More Invasive

His surgery might have been a little more invasive then my 2 because of the undecended testicle... but they really are pretty normal when you pick them up. Especially if they have kept them overnight.  No baths for 8 or 10 days and he should be running crazy for a week or so. He will have swelling in the sack, but that will go down with time to a pancake flap :).  Glad it went well.

Our Tug had the same surgery

he was 2 years old when we got him from a shelter. He had an undescended testicle, we had him neutered immediately. Vet found a tumor growing on the testicle. His recovery was uneventful, normal, no special care. I'm sure he was sore but he did fine.

Hugs to the patient.

Glad it went well

Don't let him tear around too much for the first week and no falling in the pond.

Also here is a Milton smile

This is from a few days before his surgery and it is HUGE but ...
