Hi Everyone - Beefy got a case of the zoomies last evening, and after pretending he was a border collie for 5 min, ended up injuring either his front right knee or shoulder, and is limping around today. We have some Metacam, but we do not have the "dosage by weight" syringe , only a standard ML one - the dosage instructions refer to "dogs over 10 Ibs)....our boy is 70 - Can anyone tell me based on Beefy's weight what dosage in ML I should give him? Thanks so much for any advice.

For something like that...
I like to crate rest/activity restrict, first. Sometimes giving a pain med will mask the symptoms and allow the dog to exacerbate the injury. If there is no improvement within a few days, then you may want to give some metacam (0.045 mg/lb), but I would call the vet to double check (there may be something else going on?).
