Has anyone had any experience with this condition?  I might be getting a 2 year old deaf foster boy that has this....looking for guidance.

Thanks!

Thanks for the responses....i guess now it's a moot question.  They got this guy into the vet and knew he needed to be neutered....he also had a tail amputation done today and his knees and hips are bad.  Terribly sad - plus he is only two years and congenitally deaf.

I was excited to get him - we've been learning sign language (vern has responded really well to taking commands via sign language)....but, since he needs so much medical attention and I live a couple of hours away from the rescue group's primary vet, he won't be coming to stay with me.  The rescue group had me selected to be his foster mommy since the previous owner (3rd owner of his life) told them he was "healthy" and he is anything but.

Oh well....at least he is in excellent hands now and he'll get all fixed up and onto a loving forever home & that's the important part!
