I have a bulldog that breaks out in hives. If anybody has had that problem please write back. I would like to know what you do for your pet. Tried every thing including food change. Patty
could be anything - cleaners, laundry soap/softeners, food, lawn treatments, pollen and the list goes on. Try giving Benedryl, might help to relieve the allergic reaction.

I have some experience with this. One of my bulldogs kept getting hives over and over one spring, after a couple trips to the pet ER and to his regular vet, we got him to a dermatologist. We narrowed it down to a lawn treatment. The dermatologist put him on a daily dose of HYDROXYZINE, I think I spelled that right. He said that was the best antihistamine to control hives. Benadryl wasn't working for him at all, and this did. He stayed on a daily dose his whole life. Hope this helps! Good luck!

Thank you. I'll try anything. Patty
Doseage is 25mg per 50 pounds.
I would try a grain free food and have allergy testing done. Benadryl will help with the hives for now.
