My little man is in for TPLO surgery on his right knee today. He's 15months old and tore his cruciate probably because he's such a big guy (~75lbs) Hope he does ok. Any advice or tips from any owners who have gone thru it recently?

Sadie had her surgery she liked being in her crate. The most important thing is no jumping, running, lunging. We kept a very short leash on her when she was sitting in the living room with us...easier to control. If you have wood or tile floors be careful of him slipping. The surgeon gave us a sling to help Sadie walk to avoid slipping. Good luck with your boy.

Feel free to email me directly.. I unfortunatley have all kinds of information and advice.. its not as bad as you think.. best advice for right now is rest and understand this type of surgery gets them on their feet pretty quickly.. I had to really stick to my guns because on Lolas second tplo she was ready to run only after 3 weeks!

Ya, Norman starting touching his foot on day 2 and now after a week he occasionally bears weight on it and seems to think he can run. Maybe its just the pain meds but gotta keep him on tight leash.
ooooh poor
ooooh poor norman,*huggles*...hope he gets better soon...*smoochies the scrunchy face*
oh my what a face ! Smooches
Sorry no help or suggestions here, I just wanted to smooch his face though :) I'm guess lots of quiet time in the crate the next few months ;(

The biggest think will be keeping him quiet. Luckily, when
