Introduction and question

Hello Everyone,

My name is Eric and my bulldog's name is Mugszy. He turned 12 the other day -- I know that is above age for a bulldog, but he is doing fine. His skin doctor calls him the "walking miracle" :-)

So in recent months Mugszy has started to whine and wimper after dinner. Sometimes he gets so irritated that he doesn't want to be touched. He has been on a diet (and doing well), but we are not sure what is causing the whimpering. Has anyone else seen this behavior in a bulldog?

making it to 12. That is great! I have no idea, but maybe indigestion, gas or some kind of stomach issues. Any trouble with constipation?

At his age you might want to try smaller meals more often.

Try giving smaller more frequent meals. If you are feeding kibble, maybe soak it to make it softer and easier to digest.

12 years old, what a gem. The seniors always have my heart, just love em.

I would also check his teeth and he could also have some arthritis. You can try giving him a pepcid and see if that helps in case it is a stomach issue.
