Gizmo had yeasty paws, so we used 2 parts water, 1 part perioxide 1 part apple cider vinegar -
The Apple Cider Vinegar is an acid that kills the yeast, but you need to dilute it, as not to burn or sting the skin, the Perioxide will kill any bacteria or any minor infections from say scratching -
We would put each paw in the mixture for 10-15 seconds... separating her toes, massaging in.. then right onto a towel to dry (and ya dont want footie prints with perioxide left behind on furnature or carpets). We did this routine 2 times a day, then once a day, now about once a week or so - we also washed her bedding every few days to make sure we knocked out the Yeast Colony (it made sense, she was on the bedding alot, in her crate, so her paw would itch, she would lick it, it would get moist, the yeast would grow, it would itch, she would lick the paws... Rinse and repeat over and over)
We actually talked to our Vet about this today, and he said 'It works !'
Oh they will smell of PICKLES for a while after the treatment ;) so we would say 'Time to PICKLE Gizmo's toes' :) :)

I remember James STANK as a puppy. He still does, I am just used to it. Hate to say it, but Ive owned dogs all my life and bulldogs have a very particular fragrance. If you're on this site you are probably one of the few and proud who dont recognize it anymore. Maybe she just needs to get used to it. Or its yeast.
Did she say what it smelled like?
I wonder if he has an infection.
she really didn't tell me that i will have to ask her...he
sleeps in a crate at night and she said the room smells ~~~i thought maybe he had infection ....thanks I will check with her...

Silverback's Immaculate Interception, "James"
I would try bathing the pup in a medicated shampoo
Like zymox or something containing chlorhexiderm.
Yes I really do have a friend that has a bulldog puppy...pic
