titers are checked by blood testing
to see what level of vaccine is in the dogs system. If it is in the normal range no need to re vaccinate. some say vaccines after the first set are just money makers for the vets. Rocky only had his first round of vaccines and then titiers after that and all his levels were fine. I seem to remember paying around $125 for the set.

Or do the levels change in time?
Good grief...
why is my vet quoting me over $300 for a titer? He's pretty reasonable compared to others in this area too.
Maybe..
that is what the lab is charging the vet to do the results. The prices vary, sadly!! A rabies titer is extremely expensive compared to a regular titer.

Rabies titer
I had a Rabies titer done about 2 years ago on a dog being sent to Hawaii and it ran $138. But there was only 1 lab that the Hawaii dept. of AG would accept, there may be other labs that are cheaper?
