How loud are your bulldogs?

We dont have too many other bulldogs around here so I dont have much to compare Oliver too.  He gets all rattlely at the end of long walks but especially when hes really excited (like in the car or playing with his toys).  Hes never showed signs of hypoxia so I wonder if this is normal.  I feel like it has gotten louder and if he will need to eventually get surgery (he is just over 1 year old).  It does make me a little nervous when I hear how loud it is but again there havent been any actual physical symptoms.

If it is loud enough

for you to ask then he likely needs to have his palette checked by an experience bulldog vet. The only real way they can do this is to put the dog under...but an experienced vet can just listen to him and tell if his palette needs to be trimmed.  Have you consulted with your breeder?   Any signs of a purple tongue and/or a curling tongue when he is overexerted are concerns.  You may want to take more frequent walks, shorter distances and besure they are always when it is cool.  Early in the am is the best if you live in a warm environment as the concrete stays hot for evening walks.

Ozzy

gets like this--he has had his palette checked a few times and it is good.  We just make sure we always have water on our walks and we keep an eye on him when it is hot.
