How we knew

Second year we had him he started having breakouts in the spring starting in March/April.  Ok no biggie, meds to clear it up.

Year three, again - breakouts in the spring (again March/April) including runny nose and eyes.  Meds to clear it up.

Year 4 - same thing at the same time of year.

After having him for a few years we know (for him) its seasonal allergies and this will happen every year in the spring.

PS

My guy is mostly white and when he gets hot his face and skin turns pink.  Could be your guy is just a little too warm.

:-) And the year after that...and the year after that...

I know the exact feeling! I am getting ready today for a corneal ulcer vet visit for Sophie...caused by dystichia, caused by allergies. Ugh! I hate allergies.

I hate allergies too

I hope everything goes well :)  My vet is on spring vacation:( He has just call me to give me some preventive  care for him until he is back) I hope  my little  chester gets better before the doc. comes back.

Skin

Our dog has had beautiful skin with no dermatitis all winter - we live in a cold winter climate- and now that the spring is here and pollen is starting up she has sores on her tummy, an ear infection and sores between her toes. I am totally convinced it is due to allergies.
