homeopathic flea control

I know that someone probably posted this somewhere but can't find it. Is there any homeopathic remedies to use to keep my dogs from getting fleas? They currently don't have them now and I'd like to keep it that way since they are spending more time outdoors. My vet prescribes Vectra 3D, but no matter what kind of topical I put on Remy he breaks out in hives and he runs out doing this yippy little bark and trying to rub the stuff of him for a few hours. By the next day or later that evening, he's fine. The other dogs don't get affected by topical, but I really don't want to put Remy through a few hours of misery just to prevent fleas.

Flea control is essential where I live because we do have some wildlife that roam around here (deer, skunks, raccoons, opossums) and one of our neighbors keeps chickens outside and we finally got our yard under control.

Any help would be appreciated from the experts.

You can use food-grade diatomaceous earth on him and the area he frequents.  Works well as flea deterrent.  Can be fed to him (and yourself) to elminate any internal parasites, too.

What about apple cider vinegar in the water, we use that--for many reasons.  But I do know it is suggested alot for prevention of fleas and ticks.
