Hi Guys need some help
Submitted by 1sttimebully on October 6, 2010 - 11:54amHow do I get Baron to stop licking Duchesses hot spot. Turns out my little girl has some major allergies to EVO Turkey and Chicken and also Antibiotics, oh yeah and on top of that Fish...lol
I have put her back on Duck and Potato because I know that one is fine for her but I have a hot spot that I need to get healed up and Baron keeps licking it...

any chance to keep them separated?
or perhaps is the hot spot in an area that can be lightly covered by a doggie shirt? tough situation, wish i could think of something more helpful....good luck.

Unfortunately they would go crazy if I separated them...
they are attached at the hip...I like the id of the doggie t shirt....

i totally get bulldog stubborness :-)
If you do the shirt, be careful to still let the hot spot dry out if it is still weepy. someone on the forum had suggested using goldbond medicated powder on hot spots and i tried it and it dried it our real well.

I will definitely try the Gold Bond...Baron has come to like
the taste of bitter apple...the moldings in their room are a testament to that...lol

Could you spray some bitter apple around the area?
I would try the shirt first. =)
He will probally get less interested in it
as soon as it gets dried out. Possibly a day. Chumlee kept licking at Shorty's bite wounds from her dog attack last Friday drove me and her nuts! But just be persistant. That medicated tea tree stuff isn't very nummy and hopefully he will stop.
