We took him to the groomer and within a week he had that rotten fish smell. We were told once a month but it seems more often. What can we do?? Spke is 6 years old.

Was switching to a grain free food. With the grain free food, Morgan's stools were a lot firmer which I believe helps the anal glands. Before the switch, we had to get her anal glands expressed very often. Now, it's not a problem and she hasn't needed to be expressed in a few years.

Was getting his done every couple of weeks--then the vet added prescription food and pro biotics and now he is every couple of months. Before the food change, his stool was never really firm, and now it is usually firm (he has a very touchy tummy and even a bully stick and effect him).
They may be impacted or infected.
They shouldn't have to be expressed that often
