I had a bag of sugar on the table and was out of the room and Duke torn it open and it looks like he had to have eaten at least 2 cups of it.
What should I do? Will this make him sick should I go to emergency vet? He is acting alright so far but that's alot of sugar.

Did you call the E Vet?
They may suggest you make him vomit.

I just spoke with them a while ago
and she said he should be ok, he might vomit and be alittle hyper but he should be ok.
He's laying in my bed right now sleeping so I guess no hyper out of him.
I wonder how I managed being a mom to my kids when I freak out over the dogs.
Thank you for responding.

Hopefully he will be ok
I would never make it as a real mom I'm too much of a super spaz. Kudos to you! Kids are able to tell you what is happening unlike dogs they just puke on your pillow and poop all over your carpet and wipe their butt on your blanket when they are sick : D My German Shorthaired Pointer ate a bottle of ibuprophen when she was 3 and I had to make her vomit and count the pills. She did it when I went to the gas station so it wasn't much time. She is 10 now.

Ingesting undesireable food or objects
If you are concerned about something your Bully swallowed that he shouldn't--a whole bag of dog food, a box of chocolates, a bag of sugar, a toy--you can make them vomit it up. Of course, the sooner the better. Ipecac which you can get from any pharmacy works just as well on dogs as it does on children. Also hydrogen peroxide works, too. As to quantity--what ever it takes to make them vomit. A turkey baster works great for administering. Of course there are some products and poisons you are not to induce vomiting--you can check with poison control if you are uncertain.

Also watch for low blood sugar
He will get high bllod sugar and as in people it will come down and may go lower than normal due to too much sugar all at one time. Watch for shakes if this happens give him protein peanute butter and if really necessary you can give him a little honey very little just to bring his blood sugar up a little. He may get very lethargic if his blood sugar goes low. Some bullys get this when they haven't eaten in a long time especially in the morning. He sould be fine

Thank you everyone.
I called the emergency vet and they didn't think it was a big deal, just said that he might vomit and be hyper. Last night went well and I thought everything was good until I came home from work today and he had pooped in the living room & bedroom. He NEVER has accidents so this must have been from all the sugar he consumed. He's acting normal tonight, it's been storming here so he has had to be in and I've been cleaning carpets and he hates that. I'll continue to watch him over the weekend just to make sure he's his normal self. Thanks again.
