Hello.. Sorry if this sounds desperate, thought I may get more readers.
My Harry, 5 mnths old, is on day 2 of sneezing with nose discharge (snot)
Now should I run him to vets, or wait it out to see if it will stop in a day or 2?
He is eating and playing as normal..
Could use your opinion asap
What is his temp.
One of the first thing I do with my bunch is check temp. That's a sure sign if they have something going on. Hope he feels better soon.
Sorry
I jumped the gun and didn't read the message posted below,
Seems like doggy cold is going around.
Harry is going to vets in a hour
good decision!
The vet will run tests to make sure it isn't anything serious. Based on your first description it sounds like a bit of allergies...I know mine have been kicking in recently so it's not surprising if our bullies have the same issues. As long as the snot/discharge isn't green/yellow/thick I think you're probably ok...but still better to get things checked to be sure.
Sending good thoughts to Harry! :)

My swimming bully buddy!
Glad you're not waiting
hope he's better soon,.
There is a strain of Canine Flu going around that is bad.
It morphed from Equine Flu...jumped species so to speak. Not sure how that happened, but I am in heavy duty horse country and my vet's office had that notice posted yesterday about Canine Influenza and that it came from the Equine strain. I would go see your vet today if you can get in.

maybe this is what my dogs had?
We brought something nasty home from shows in Cincinnati in late May. Even though all my dogs have been vaccinated against a full range (what is avaqilable) of respiratory diseases, almost all of my dogs were really sick! I had a litter of 6 week old pups that was hit hard, even with all the precautions I took to keep them isolated. I had dogs to the Vet's multiple times battling it and trying to find the antibiotic they wiould respond to.
Harry has an upper resp
Harry has an upper resp infection..
A round of antibiotics should take care of it..
Vet was surprised at how big he is for 5 months old LOL
he is now 41 pounds
phew!
Glad that it isn't anything serious and that one round of medication will take care of everything!!
Also...it sounds like he's right on track to be a perfectly smushable snuggle buddy! :)
