Hi everyone..thanks so much for everyones answers to my questions. I feel so uneducated on my dog!!! So Gemma is 7 months and in her first heat cycle. She is bleeding a lot. How long can I expect the bleeding to last? Also, I will get her spayed as soon after this cycle that I can. After I do that will she still go into heat and still have some bleeding? Thanks!!! :)
It varies
But heat cycles last about 3 weeks. Since this is her first cycle, it's hard to say (they will sometimes go into a "false heat" that doesn't last as long as a regular cycle). After her cycle, most vets recommend waiting 1-2 months to allow the hormones to settle (this will decrease the risk for bleeding after the spay surgery).
After the spay, your girl will no longer go into a heat cycle since the uterus is removed.

Thanks for the info! Also, is
Thanks for the info! Also, is it normal for her to have more poops (somewhat runny) and also she has had a few small pee accidents in the the house. Up until this point I thought she about about completely housebroken.
hi
We Just had our Curly Sue Spayed and she had a few daily drip-drops of blood every couple days for a couple weeks after the surgery. The vet did ultrasounds, blood work, etc........to find out she was just fine. Only reason we were told was that since she had a litter of pups a couple months before we adopted her, that the extra scar tissue from the c-section she had might have been the culprit. It's been a couple months now with no more of that blood drops stuff and she is awesome. She's even sleeping in the bed now with us & our Olde English Bulldogge. Adoption worked out 100% for us and this 2 year old pork chop we call Curly Sue !!
Bulldogs are like kids you can kennel, and they listen !!
