Has anyone had success treating cataracts without surgery?
Submitted by jihigg on November 27, 2010 - 12:03pmRex has a cataract in his right eye. He will be 9 years old in February. I really don't want to have him put under for surgery, as the last time the vet had a hard time "bringing him back" -vets words, and Rex did not eat or drink for 3 days afterwards. I do not think he will survive another round of anesthesia. I searched the web and there are some vitamins being sold that is suppose to help cataracts. Anyone have any tips? Thanks much!

I would want to see a specialist
and like you would be very hesitant to have surgery. I have no advice to give you. I hope you can find an alternative option to surgery. Keep us posted.
