I am just now researching the benefits of shark cartilage. My pet store owner/friend was telling me about how a guy in RI is making dog treats out of it. Then I found a few articles about studies that have been done at URI on the benefits. This is the first I have ever heard of it. And I'm reading that sharks DO NOT get cancer. Thinking this could be beneficial. Too bad the treats have rice flour and oats, but they have pills with just the shark cartilage. Anyone use it?

Me personally, no....but!
I did try to get my Mom to take it after we learned she had lung cancer. From the reasearch I have done, it appears that Shark Cartilage kills off cancer cells.....kind chokes the tumors off and they die.
I have my doubts because if it worked on every case, there would be no more cancer, but it has worked on numerous cases!!!
I can't wait to see if someone rights back yes.....cause it seems that my friend's bulldog does have a brain tumor and I am going to get her started on this ASAP. She is my "4th dog" and this weekend I was in tears every time I thought of her. Even begged her (whispered in her ear) not to go anywhere cause I can't lose her....so I am soo glad you mentioned this!!!! Thank you Lisa!
Thanks for responding
I passed it along to my friend also, whose dog may or may not have lymphoma. I wanted to hear what everyone has to say before I seriously consider it for Onslow. I hope it helps your friends doggy. :( If you/she gives it, please msg me about how she does with it.
Maybe we should all be on it.............
Why Onslow???
why are you thinking of this for Onslow? Did your reseach bring up any other added benefits that you can share? : )
Arthritis
he has arthritis because of a partial knee tear a couple years ago. So now I give him glucosamine and he is also on Astragalus for his immune system since he had demodex as a puppy.
I might be able to eliminate those two and get it all done with the shark cartilage. Plus the whole cancer benefit. Just makes sense the shark cartilage covers it all. ;)
Hm...interesting! Friday and Cain have the arthritis problem...
as well as myself! I will have to start looking into this for all of us.
I have to admit I was a little scared cause you said it was for Onslow......Can't have a sick Onslow!!!
I mentioned
it to my mother also, because she is allergic to glucosamine and has bad arthritis. Maybe should could get some relief from the shark cartilage!
