Hi Im new here to the forum.. Was on here years ago and I am now back. I have a question about my 5 year old bully. He all of a sudden had a few spots on his side very small spots of hair loss. i dont notice him itching at all. It seems every day these spots are mutilplying, his hair is coming out in about id say a pencil eraser size or smaller. he has now mutiple spots on his sides and his back in about a week or so time. Nothing on his belly or his face or his chest or his bum or legs just his sides and the top of his back. when I look close to the skin it just appears maybe a little dry his hair dont pull out at all if I tug on it but some spots look almost blackish where they are exposed to sun air? I havent changed his food at all nor his soap. I have been searching for a picture of what his hair looks like and i dont find anything that looks like it. He has had a hot spot a bit back and I treated it on my own and it went away. He had seasonal alopcia before those spots were bigger and only on his sides. Here is a few pictures it doesnt look as bad in these pictures maybe tomorrow in the day light I can get a better shot. What you all think . I think its seasonal but idk. i hope pictures worked

Pictures dont work
unless I am friends with you on facebook. I think I know what it is though, Read up on Seasonal Flank Alopecia. It's just cosmetic and not fatal or anything. Some treat with melatonin or just try to get more exposure to sunlight. Best wishes.
how do i post pictures?
how do i post pictures?
Couple of ways
You can open an account with either photobucket/Flick'r. Once the photos are in there you just highlight and copy the IMG CODE link and paste it in the grey area here. Always preview to make sure it comes through ok.
The other way is easier IMO, just save them to your hard drive, then see the Bold Italic and Underline tabs above under the message text? See that little green tree thingie? Click that and follow the steps to upload your photo. You just find the pic, insert it and upload it.
If you need more instruction let me know I'll be happy to help.

pictures hard to see really and he is nappin now
The fur looks kind of
moth eaten from the pic. If I had to guess I might say staph infection.
This is what Seasonal Flank Alopecia looks like.
I would have the vet take a peek. Glad you got the pics to work now you can share lots more with us. Tee Hee =)
Ya it looks worse than the
Ya it looks worse than the picture shows really. Do you think it could be mange? I dont think it is but gosh you never no. I ordered some of the missing link supplement today to add to his food. I hope it will help out. People said it worked wonders on there dogs coat and with their digestive system. He has a very sensitive stomache I dont give him anything but his food and I feed him royal canin bulldog 24. He has gas but much less on this food but still none the less very gassy. I will try to take another picture. Only thing that has changed in his life is my sister moved in to live and I have a new chair in my house that my hubby sits in and before he always sat on couch with the dog. I was thinking stress? He is a lap dog. and cant stand to be alone at all. Very needy bulldog. i dont know if others are like this or not?
I would doubt
its mange if its on his back. My boy had mange as a pup, the mites go for warm areas like their head, armpits, etc. and it itches terribly and the hair falls right out. It's most common in young dogs, less then a year. How old is he?
Stress shouldn't cause that either. Like I said moth eaten usually = staph. But its hard to tell from the pic, it could still be SFA. Vet really needs to have a look ;)
