little rubber curries as well. Then a follow up with a nice soft brush to help remove the dander off the top of the coat. I also have a rubber mitt I like.
Lots of people rave about the furminator. I personally think if you are brushing weekly the coat will stay nice and healthy and you shouldn't have to use a stripper like the Furminator. But use what ever works best for you.
Weekley brushings and nails and you will have a lovely looking dog all the time.

not for weekly grooming. If your dog isn't shedding, then the furminator does not pull any hair off. I need to try to get a video for you- it really doesn't strip their coat. Audrey only sheds one big time a year then maybe one more small one. In between shedding I can use the furminator and not get ANY hair at all off her.
I found a really great hand mitt at WalMart-it's a Fuzzy Wuzzy. One side is chenille tubes and the other side is smooth. It makes them SHINE after a good brushing.
This is what we use. .
It was recommended by the groomer - its soft, but firm enough.
