Just curious what is the main protein in you Bully's grain free food and what other ingredients you all tend to look for and the amounts or percentages of those ingredients?

I've found that fish causes the least amount of allergies. Protein is 25%. TOTW grain free lamb is also 25%, their chicken turkey is higher. 22 to 25% is a good protein range.

She is licking her legs a lot the past couple days, not a good start. Generally I use fish as a protein, it is the least allergy related. I look for protein levels of no more than 27%, prefer less though. I like to see easily digestible essentials like vitamin e or the omegas. I stay away from all grain. I liked the Blue Buffalo Limited but Sophie got head shakes after a few bags of it. The only grain free feed she has been on that didn't give her head shakes was Natural Balance. They have gotten so pricey though and have decreased bag size, so I quit buying their food. I have been trying different things for a while, and liked the Blue the best except for the shakes...dang it.

I was hoping it would be ok for Sophie, but this morning there she is, licking away. I was really dejected for a while about that! But I also know she has a bad UTI right now and I just picked up some antibiotics today at my vets, hopefully that is why she was licking...because her tummy hurts, not because her allergies are coming back. If she keeps licking after her UTI is cleared up, I will have my answer. I would have liked to stay on Blue Buff, it was doing really well for her. Her tear stains went completely away and so did all of her licking. It stayed away, too, but then she had head shakes a week or so ago and so I am trying the TOTW. All that to say, I am glad it is working for you:-)

but Newman still had tear stains and Chesters tail got a little gunky, so now we have them all on the fish, my dream come true, all three of them on the same food! We switched Newman and Ollie a while ago, but Chester has just finished with the lamb and is now completely on fish, his tail is looking better already. I think fish is probably the least likely to cause problems.
We use fish as the protein...
