Glucosamine, Chondroitin, and MSM dosage

Reuben is 12 years old,  I currently give him 1 tablet every day, it is 1000mg

(500mg Glucosamine, 200mg Chondroitin, 300mg MSM)

just saw that I can get a better deal at Costco for the 1300mg bottle for 250 pills (before I only get 120 at same price)

(500mg Glucosamine, 400mg Chondroitin, 400mg MSM)

would the 1300mg be safe for him? He is 48-50lbs.....  I dont see it being too much a difference the extra 300 mg,

but wanted to see if anyone gives thier bully this amount.... I called my vet to ask awhile ago. and well of course they said they dont think it works and wouldn't give me straight answer as I presume they wanted me to buy their brand or something 5x more expensive! lol

anyways, think the 1300mg be ok?  he is 48-50 lbs.....

Thanks!

Shouldn't be a problem

The stuff I give my dogs is from Sam's Club and is rated at 1500mg Glucosamine/1200mg Chondroitin and they get a seperate MSM cap. I split the Gluc-Chon tabs in half and give 1/2 in the am and the 2nd half in the evening. The price is around $42 for a twin pack of 200's, I haven't found a better price elsewhere.

I give to my boy also

here is what I give: Gluc/cond 900mg per day split into 2 meals. I think a stronger dose would be fine. Msm separately 1000mg tab split into 1/2, 1/4 each meal.

Pure Atlantic salmon oil 1000mg caps. I squirt 1/2 on his food and save the rest for next meal. He eats the rest of the cap with low fat cream cheese.
