General blotchy muzzle question

Good evening! I see so many posts on BDW about bully's skin issues that I'm beginning to wonder if it is just par for the course with this breed? The red blotchy muzzle pictures with breakouts on his chin below are typical of what Tuffy looks like on a normal day. The redness doesn't bother him at all so I'm curious as to whether this is just something to live with. Perhaps this pink muzzle and chin bumps are just typical of the breed and I should just not be too concerned? The vet doesn't feel it's a big deal....so right now I just try to keep his face as clean and dry as possible and trying not to stress about it.

I have heard it is akin to juevenile acne.
But I don't know. Sometimes that acne look comes from not drying the chin after drinking water. It can come from a plastic dish too. Bacteria stays on plastic and then can cause issues like that. Not sure which it could be! Sorry, I don't know about this one much:-(

Tuffy has stainless steel bowls and I put witch hazel on his face a few times a day to keep it clean. I'm starting to transition him to the Natural Balance LID allergy formula so we'll see if that helps! It's always something with these dogs, isn't it?!
