Food question

My 8 month old Gus has recently started shedding more and is currently on antibiotics for a skin infection. Gus still has some puppy acne also. He is eating Solid Gold Hundchen Flocken. I'm wondering if I should try a different food. If so, what is the opinion of Natural Balance Limited Ingredient?

salmon will give him fish oils and it is also the right protein amount for bulldogs. We use Taste of the Wild or the Costco brand (Natures Domain) which is a lot cheaper. You could also add a fish oil capsule each day to whatever he is eating to help his coat. Natural Balance has some good grain free foods. We use their treats a lot.

Gizmo can CLEAR the room ! but she isnt nearly as bad as she was with the Blue Buffalo Salmon -

Grain Free though !

I would definitely try a grain free feed...

But make sure your protein isn't more than about 25%. Natural Balance is a good food, so is Taste of the Wild. Go with a fish variety if you can.

Fish for the oils for better coat, and skin

Gizmo would have dry skin, and this helps out alot

Does one have any benefit over the other?

Seems many, including us have gas issues with Taste of the Wild

Harley eats Natural Balance Fish & Potato with almost no smelly gas. Tried Taste of the Wild fish formula and although he liked it and did well, his gas was horrible! So bad that you could actually smell him as soon as you walked in the house.

Taste of the Wild -- Major GAS issues!

We tried to do a ton of research in order to give our little guy the best food possible (within a reasonable budget). Decided on Taste of the Wild and he is eating it no problem. The problem is the gas is absolutely horrible. I just searched the forum and saw this thread and noticed you had the same problem with the gas that you can smell when you walk into the house. Wondering how the Natural Balance is working out for you. I really need to try to get our little guy on something else or I'm gonna go crazy! He is shedding a lot too but then again that just may be normal as well. Poops tend to be on the soft side too so maybe this isn't the best food for him. Any other suggestions on food would be great.
