The past week I have found 5 fleas on my bulldog. I haven't put anything on her for flea control in several months. What can I use now that she's expecting ? I've read about garlic, peppermint oil, etc... I asked the vet and he said frontline, which is what I usually use, but I am not convinced that it wouldn't hurt the pups. Thanks for your help.

some things to try
a bath, then a rinse in apple cider vinegar. Do not rinse off the apple cider vinegar, let it dry on her. The smell WILL completely dissipate.
Garlic is great but it is not quick acting. It takes a while for it to repel fleas.
Diatomaceous earth, sprinkled all around where she sleeps and rests frequently.
Cedar oil worked well for us as a repellent. I mixed it with sweet almond oil. Cypress is another good one. Both smell awesome too!
Diatomaceous earth can also be applied on her. Just be careful you don't make a cloud of it and get it in her nose. I always did it outside, or my husband wrapped a towel around our dog and I sprinkled the DE inside the towel. For my small bulldog, it never took more than a Delsym cough syrup dosing cup's worth to cover her.
Daily combing to physically remove them, and frequent vacuuming to get the ones in the environment.
The essential oils do not kill the fleas, they just help mask your dog and make them less appealing to them.
The DE does kill them, and dessicates the eggs/larvae.

Agree with Cathy....
.....use the food grade Diametaceous earth. Good luck~!
thanks!
I went out and bought some and put it everywhere. Including on her. My main rooms are hardwood, so I am living with the mess on the carpets for a few days. I am going to spread it outside as well. Hopefully this will do it! Thanks again!
