First raw meal was a HIT!!

They weren't quite sure what to do with it at first, they picked it up, slopped it around their mouth, licked it. Then once they figured out how to chew it they LOVED it!! Deuce is kind of a picky eater and he actually beat Oliver, I couldn't believe it! Now I am just waiting to see how it comes out the other end :)

Kofi scared me to death the first time that I gave her the first raw chicken neck! She practically inhaled it. Then I would hold on as long as I could when giving her bone in pieces such as chicken backs.
The first few times she had her ground up beef mixture, I had to stick it under the broiler for a few seconds before she would eat it.
It's been seven months now, and we have both got the hang of it. She loves her raw food! I don't even simmer the chicken livers anymore. Raw liver and the slime doesn't bother either of us anymore.
When I took her in for her blood work, the vet said he had never seen such a clean bully. No skin problems, beautiful coat, clean ears and teeth.....he even said he may have to examine raw more carefully.

Thats great to hear about how great Kofi is doing on her raw diet and catching the eye of the vet also is awesome, hopefully I'll have the same luck.
Second meal was a hit as well!
We had stopped at the store last night and picked up some fryer chickens. They were already cut in half so that was nice. We took the skin off and kind of chopped it up a bit.
