Hi
My bullie Spanky was diagnosed with conguctivitis last week and his Dr. gave him eye drops. Spanky does not let me give him the drops even though i have been able to sneek them in here and there. Any other medications to cure this such as a pill? thanks much
I've been giving eyedrops for just about the past year
To Sally for one thing or another. I'm not good at it solo, so my son holds her and opens her eyes while I do the drops. If there is anything else to use, other than drops, I certainly haven't seen it! In my opinion, it takes two to do drops, but then again Sally's my first bulldog and she can be stubborn!

Try the peanut butter table
wipe it across the kitchen table and she will lick it off and you stand behind her, spread lids open drop drop close, other eye drop drop close.....VIOLA!!!!
I'm sorry your baby is having a tough time :( Chumlee gets drops often either Opcon-A or Artificial Tears or Saline wash out and he just lays there when he sees me bring out his towel. Sometimes he gets feisty and I have to put the cookie jar on the floor so he sits still but then he starts to drool :)

when Rocco needed eye ointment
i had to do it while he slept or was napping because he hates when any one gets near his eyes...he would stay still for me but would lock his eye shut like a clam

Mr. Higgins gets lacrilube ointment daily
for mild entropion. I have to back him into a corner and put some on my finger , sit beside him and roll his lid down with one hand, put it on with the other. I just make sure my hands are clean. This is the wrong way to do it, but at least he gets it. He hates everything I do with his face.
