Eye Issue
Submitted by SteveWinstonHazelle on August 15, 2010 - 10:05pmI noticed this morning that Hazelle's eye (inside eyelid) is a bit swollen, and it feels like there is a small bump in there. It is to the outside edge at the bottom of the eye.
Any ideas of what it can be?
I am giving her a benedryl.. and maybe try to flush it out... I will try to get her to the vet in the next couple of days if it persists.
Steve, Sophia has had that happen.
It cleared up. It was a sty or something that was just in the corner on the inside of the lid. I think she might have gotten a bit of dirt or something that was an irritant in there that lodged in the corner. I flushed her eye a couple of times and it went away on its own. Watch it for a few days, try the flush. If it doesn't go away, you may need vet intervention:-)

You could also try a warm compress
if she will let you.
We made an apt. For thursday
Hopefully it clears up before that. We will attempt a warm compress.
