Does Benadryl work to treat red, blotchy muzzle

Or is that primarily just for itchyness? Tuffy's face is all red and blotchy again (although it doesn't seem to be bothering him) so I'm wondering if I should try the Benadryl....

So sorry Tuffy is having

this problem. I am so NOT an expert! Still, I don't think I'd give Kofi a benedryl if she's not itching or bothered.

I hope you get input from someone who has some good suggestions. Our little guys make us crazy when they are having problems.

I do love you little guy!

Neither am I an expert, but I

Neither am I an expert, but I ask lots of questions and apologize in advance for doing do. But I still ask them. :)

I've got a vet appt on Saturday and I'm going to ask about Claritin and Zyrtec. I have heard of others using these but I would like to know how they stack up against the old standby of benadryl.

Now as far as allergic reactions go, I'm wondering if most of what ails Matilda isn't caused by diet and will eliminate the need for a drug at all, but we'll see what they say.
