My baby Jackson, who isn't quite 5 months old was just diagnosed with this. Bad, bad stuff and a long recovery process ahead of us. Since Jackson was still walking around, the prognosis is much better for him. After just 2 days at the hospital on a 48 hour antibiotic drip, he looks so good. He will have to be on antibiotics for another 6 months after we treat the initial bacteria or fungus that is infecting him, then x-rays monthly. Just wondering if anyone here has dealt with it before? I've found some atricles on the web, but some you have to be a vet to understand them.
