Diarrhea!!!!
Submitted by Mojo_Gomez on June 21, 2011 - 9:00pmMojo (6 months old) was riding in the car and the sun was right on the crate while in the car I think that the heat got to him and diarrhea was the reaction, any advice? As soon as I cleaned him and the crate he was back to his playful self, jumpy playing with the neighbor in the elevator. Should this be a cause for concern? He is now back in the apartment in a AC enviorment and has not made a sound I keep monitoring him and he seems like himself just sitting there.

well, maybe not EVERY time, but 3 out of 4. your pup was probably carsick...just make sure to give lots of water. and try giving an ice cube to chew-- most pups love it!

Direct Sun
He could have been car sick from the ride or the heat. You need to make sure he isn't in the direct sun and depending on how hot it is you should get a fan to put on his crate if you travel with him much in the sun. You can also get those sun reflective covers to put over the crate. We get them at the dog show vendors. Ryobi makes a great battery operated fan to bungie onto the crate.
You could try
giving him a scoop or 2 of 100% natural pumpkin (not the pie mix). That should firm him up.
