I've read on this forum that canned pumpkin (not the pie filling w/ the spices, just plain, straightforward pumpkin) can help "firm" things up.  Although I think that might be a temporary fix for a bully w/ non-ongoing tummy issues.  It seems you might need to start looking in to other food (grain free is often a good place to start) as well as considering feeding raw.  There are quite a few on here who fee raw, I am not one of them...but I'm sure they'll have a lot of insight and suggestions for you to help you and your pup find a solution.

pepto - but agree probably the food. 

salmon and sweet potato is good, has 24% protein which is good for bulldogs.  I buy the costco brand which is cheaper, but Taste of the Wild is good too.  I suspect the canned food is W/D which is for loose stools, but is mainly fillers and fiber, not much nutritional stuff in it.  I also use DiaBac which I order on line, it's an all natural diarrhea cure and it works really well.

I switched from Royal Canin almost a 1 1/2 yr ago to Natural Balance after my daughter made the switch for her special needs pup...We both have had great results. 

We had a lot of trouble getting a food that works well.  If he eats too much or the protein is too high, our guy gets diarreah.  We struggled for 5 months to get it right and I freeze canned pumpkin in ice trays and give it to him as a frozen treat, or add a scoop to his food.  It's really helped. 

Also, our guy gets the runs from any dairy.  Doesn't seem to do well with potato either :(
