Curious question about delivery of bd puppies
Submitted by Michelle and Georgia on October 25, 2010 - 8:13pmI have heard of ( and was told this happened with our Georgia) that sometimes the first puppy out will be natural before the c-section can happen.Is this a common happening? Are there any ill effects from it happening that way? Just curious-thanks.

I have heard of it happening, but I also know of the pups getting stuck in the birth canal when vet requires that the mom to go into full labor before starting the section. All my pups have been born by c-section. I did have one girl go into labor early and there was a pup lost due to being stuck in the birth canal before we could get to the vet. As for any adverse long term effects on the pup following birth canal birth....I have not heard anyone talk about any problems associated with it. Maybe someone with experience in that area will chime in.
