Cruciate surgery
I have a 13+ year old who tore the ligament at age 2. She was casted (no surgery) for 5 weeks, then rested a month or more and seemingly healed and was fine for many years. I started her on Glycoflex at this time and continued upgrading the forumula as needed. However, in her old age, starting about 2 years ago, she's really been suffering with the arthritis. She gets around, but with difficulty and it's sad to watch. She's still happy, eats well, loves company and has a good quiality of life. I've found some pain relief for her with tramadol. But her great-granddaughter also tore hers this year and had surgery as I'm hoping to avoid this happening to her. Good luck in your decision.
