Crazy Skin Issue
Submitted by willtank on September 16, 2011 - 2:37pmMy 5 year old male Mac, is apparently part snake. I posted last week, that he had a issue with his skin, and it has happened again. So here is the new issue. On the side of his head he lost a patch of fur and there was more gross slimy yellow skin underneath it. Within 2 DAYS! He looked like nothing had ever happened. Is he part snake?
you need some antibotics
that gross yellow stuff is puss.....he has an infection and it did not drain and sat under the skin...it could be a really bad hot spot where he scratched himself and it got infected.... does he swim? clean it really well....keep it dry...and get some antibotics....i would ask for neo preh powder to sprinkle on their....
New hair
What about the snake like ability to grow new hair while the old hair falls off? Is that wierd or normal for something like this. He doesn't like water at all, not even his bath, and now that he is 65lbs of pure bully when he doesn't want a bath, someone gets bruised, (usually me or the wife, or both lol) We have him on antibiotics and bathe him about once every two weeks, he doesn't really go outside much at all. We keep his wrinkles wiped down and dry, it is just mind boggling to me. I wonder if he has a infection that is just under the skin (like you said) and shows no signs until the pocket or patch of hair falls off? He hasn't seemed uncomfortable, he doesn't scratch. He did have an ear infection about two months ago though.
it was an infection
of soy...me kind...hot spot most likely....hot humid weather were having....spend an hr just going over his body....the skin should slip off if their is another one of those spots happening....keep them clean...i just worry he may have deep infection some where.....did you have blood drawn...if any more show up i might consider this....could be low thyorid...infetion some where....
