Cough in 12 year old
Submitted by carmiesmommy on November 4, 2011 - 12:17pmOk, my boy Carmine has had a mucosy, productive cough now for over a week. Brought him to the vet. Had xrays taken. Heart ok and lungs clear. He said it could be allergy related bronchitiis. He gave him an antinflammatory and antibiotic injection and is now on Baytril for 2 weeks. Today is day 5 of medication and he is still coughing a bit. Anyone else have this problem with their Bully? It is not Kennel cough. It appears to be worse first thing in morning and late in evening. Just want to know I am not alone here and if this is common with an older dog. Thanks everyone!
It takes a long time to recover from bronchitis
But, if you don't feel like he has improved enough, take him back to the Vet. When Morgan had bronchitis, her mess weren't working and the Vet finally sent me home with shots of antibiotics and albuterol.
