Corn Chip 'odor' ?

Someone had mentioned about a 'Freetos' / Corn Chip  type smell from their bullies - I dont remember what was the cause.

(Yeastie Beasties maybe?)

I thought it might of been to Gizmo's food (She was on IAMS) but has been on Blue Buffalo Wild Salmon (Grain Free) for about 2 - 3 months now.

She seems to be licking at her Paws again.

yeast

Yes...the "fritos" smell is yeast.  Has it been damp/moist in your area?  It could be that her paws are wet when she comes in and that allows the yeast to grow.  I think if you use some vagisil wipes for a few days (a couple times a day) to "kill" the yeast colonies already established and maybe do an epsom salt soak a couple times you should be able to knock out the the current problem.

A lot of times just being diligent about keeping paws dry, or drying them after coming in from walks/potty breaks/etc, will help prevent the yeasty toes.

I hope my suggestions help!! :)

her paws dry, until she licks at them :P

I'll give it a try -  her paws are dry, until she decides to start licking and licking and licking at them.  We thought it was her food, and she seemed better on the Grain Free... now she's licking them again and now is when I start to smell the 'corn chips'

Thanks :)
