constipated pups 17 days old
Submitted by All4bulldogs on June 20, 2012 - 4:37pmHi All, i need some serious help with my pups. I have had a horrible time getting them to poop on a regular basis. We have had this problem since day 3. One pup is breast fed the other is bottled (because he wont latch on properly ). He is fed a goats milk formula these ingredients which consist of milk, egg yolk, water ( pedialyte to begin with) now with water bc i thaught maby that was causing constipation, and karyo syrup and yogart. I have tried adjusting these ingredients. Buy i cannt seem to get any of it to help. I have tried pumpkin to get things moving with no prevail. My breast fed one will goes several days without pooping. My formula fed one has been pooping 1 time per day. I stimulate them until i am blue in the face and all they will do is pee. When they do poop it has always been on their own with being stimulated and is a normal appearing bowel movement. This doesnt seem normal to me, the lack of bowel movements. Any advice is welcomed. Another thing when it cones time for feeding their bellies are not bloated. Thanks so much.
Normal....
....as long as peeing normally. They sometimes don't have to go for a couple of days--not to worry--they are using all of the nutrients in the milk, and so there is no waste. Congratulations on your litter and good luck!

thanks so much Micki for replying to my post, Ive been so worried and the vet said it could be normal. "Could" wasnt a good enough answer for me. Its nice to get some advice who has a direct answer. I knew that name looked familiar, were also facebook friends..lol. Thanks again and hope to see you around some time :)
