Jasper has been treated for conjunctivitis for 16 days now and isn't any better. He is on Gentocin eye drops (added 5days ago) , Mycitracin Neo PolyBac ointment, and Zeniquin tablets. At the last vet visit ( 5 days ago) he received Depo Medrol and Baytril injections. We have made two vet visits, and are scheduled to return in a week to re-check the eye. My question is , shouldn't he be showing some signs of improvement ? I am concerned about him, he keeps that eye closed most of the time, I know it bothers him. He also has Tramadol for pain.
Ant insight would be much appreciated...thanks, and Merry Christmas!
Did they do any tests or are they just treating the symptoms?
That's a lot of meds. It took 3 days for Chum's eye to start to look better. He had Poly-Dex Ointment but he didn't have any clog tear ducts or wild lashes or anything else.

no, no test, other than.....
the stain, which did show a superficial ulcer. I don't have any experience with this issue, but I think his eye should be responding by now. If it isn't any better when we return to the vet, I'll ask for a referral to a specialist. Thanks for your response.
