Conjuctivitis?
Submitted by Joy on July 17, 2010 - 5:43pmI just returned home from business travel to find that Lily's eye is all goo. It looks like conjuctivitis. I'll take her to the Vet on Monday, but in the meantime, what do I do? Should I put warm compresses on her eye? Any suggestions? Thanks!

I hate it that you returned to find her poorly. I hope you can get help quickly.
I did a quick search that
reminded that it is contagious. Be sure to use separate wipe for each eye. It also said not to rub, so you should probably wipe carefully.
Hope you can get her in soon. It sounds as if she'll need something prescribed.

do you have any eye antibodic if not try to keep it clean see i keep eye antibodic on hand cause beetle get this from time to time

I think it looks worse than it feels. Lily doesn't seem to be bothered; but I'm taking her to the vets tomorrow.

saline drops
You can flush with plain saline drops if you have it. It wil keep it from getting to thick and gooey till you can get to the vet.
